Anyway. First things first. Even though it seems like ages ago, I have to take a minute here and thank Tammy of Karamat. During the Sew Mama Sew giveaway, I won 2 yards of fabric of my choice from Tammy's shop! It arrived before Christmas - super fast service! - and was such a sweet package in the mail during a very busy time. You can see below what I picked...which pretty much sums my fabric tastes up pretty well. They may not look like they go together...but I am drawn to both fun/bright playful fabrics, and the more serious, understated variety as well. Thanks again, Tammy - I've enjoyed stopping by your blog and seeing what you are up to - so fun to find a new source of inspiration!
And now for an embarrassing but fun photo...look at the fabric I amassed over the holidays! It's a ridiculously indulgent pile of yummy goodness that I feel so fortunate has found a new home with me. I
I have big plans for some of this fabric...but have some projects I have to finish up before I let myself start something new. That's always the part I like best, so I have to earn it first by finishing up some WIP's. More on those later!
Oh look at that big stack of fabulous fabrics! Can't wait to see what you make Val!
ReplyDeleteMmm, yes. I do love Echo. It's such beautiful fabric, and the feel of it is nice, too. I know Tammy in the HMQG; she's wonderful! I'm glad you won her prize.
ReplyDeleteHappy new year, Valerie!
They're both very pretty, and I don't know much about fabric or sewing, but I could see them going together quite nicely on just the right project . . . whatever that may be. I can't wait to see what you do with them. :)
